The Walking Dead's 10th season may not have been given the official greenlight yet, but that hasn't stopped its creators from beginning work on it. Showrunner Angela Kang has revealed things are underway for the next chapter in the AMC show, which includes a return for Maggie. "I'm already working on season 10 stuff," she told ComicBook.com. "Yeah, trying to get a little bit of a jump on it, so after I do this round of press calls today I'm actually gonna jump back in with a couple of my senior writers and we're gonna talk about some stuff, just because it's like we want to get a head start on things. "But it's sort of like the process doesn't end on our side of it, because it takes about a year and a half to make a season of the show, but we always air about the same time every year, so there's always about like a half a year overlap." Kang added of a return for Lauren Cohan's Maggie: "We will hopefully come back to Maggie's story in Season 10. "Lauren and I have been texting about some things, and we're hopefully gonna schedule a conversation, but Georgie's group is definitely out there in the world doing some stuff, and I have some notion of what they're up to. "They may also be part of the universe in general. That's really up to Scott [Gimple], but we'll see how it all plays out. "In our minds, there's a lot of things going on in the world around our characters and the way that it intersects with our story, that's part of what we're talking about currently." The showrunner also reflected on her first year overseeing the series, admitting: "It feels great. It's such a whirlwind when we're making the season, so it just whipped by. "And obviously we're still in post on the second half of the season, and we've got some exciting stuff coming up, so that's really fun to work on, but I'm glad that the first season is out there and that fans seem to be responding well to it, and we appreciate it. The actress played Heapster leader Jadis and then Ann on the AMC series for three seasons, before leaving alongside Rick (Andrew Lincoln) in a mysterious helicopter during the episode 'What Comes After'. Rick's survival shocked fans, while Walking Dead producer Scott Gimple confirmed that Rick's story would continue in three feature-length Walking Dead movies, which will star Andrew Lincoln and air on AMC, with production beginning on the first next year. Despite leaving the show in the same helicopter as Rick, it seems Jadis may not make an appearance in the spin-off film after all — as McIntosh recently confirmed that she has not yet signed on to star in it. "They want to shoot next year, so if I don't hear by Christmas I'll know that I'm not doing it, won't I?" she told TV Guide. Nevertheless, during the same interview, McIntosh also shared her belief that the movie script isn't ready — so don't count Jadis out just yet, Walking Dead fans. She added: "They take their time to make it the best they can be, and they've got that time, so why wouldn't they use it?" Here's hoping. In this one I will be doing my review for the premiere episode of The Walking Dead Season 9. The Walking Dead Season 9, Episode 7 - Stradivarius! Ahhh man, I am absolutely off the wall with excitement!!! I cannot wait to see the introduction of the whisperers next week. Man this is going to be incredible! This episode was directed by Walking Dead alum Michael Cudlitz who, of course, played Abraham Ford. Man this was so cool to see him come back to direct an episode and I thought he did a fantastic job. I thought the first person crazy cam at the beginning was fantastic for Rosita and her delirious state that the whisperers left her in. I also loved that in this episode it was revealed that Daryl has basically been out there, on his own, looking for Rick, ever since Rick went missing and that's why he has never really returned home. In this one I will be giving my thoughts and reviewing the walking dead issue 185, 'On Guard'. I loved this issue of the walking dead comic book series. This one was a lot of fun. Man Dwight is dead set on taking over the Commonwealth. He doesn't like what he sees and he won't give up on trying to talk Rick into taking over the people of the commonwealth. It looks like he isn't alone in his viewpoints either, as it seems Mercer wants Rick to take over leadership of the Commonwealth as well. Rick of course has already fought 2 wars, as well as many different adversaries throughout the course of the walking dead and definitely doesn't want any part of it. I am going to give this issue an 9.5 out of 10. The Walking Dead’s Chief Content Officer Scott Gimple officially announced the news on Talking Dead following Andy’s last episode on the AMC drama. “This is not going to be the end of Rick Grimes’ story,” Gimple said. “We’re going to continue telling Rick Grimes’ story in a series of AMC original films. There’s a lot of story to tell.” He added, “It’s going to show a different corner of the world. It’s going to show a different situation that Rick is involved in. These are going to be shown on AMC, but they are going to have the scope of featured films. “And we’re going to be seeing an epic story told over years,” Gimple said.
