Lydia could be a great supporting character for Daryl now that he's a protagonist, remember that Aaron teased that Daryl wound be a great dad, that will be the show remix for Lydia. It just fits for Daryl and Lydia to create a connection since they were both abused in their childhoods. Gotham Season 5 is Amazing! - So Sad that it is Ending!

The Walking Dead is facing a challenge heading into the next eight episodes of its ninth season: hardcore fans of the series know what's coming (at least, in part) but the series has to preserve an air of mystery regarding its terrifying new Whisperer villains. http://bit.ly/2DBvrvA The AMC zombie show has always faced this issue when major storylines from Robert Kirkman's comics by the same name approach. A sense of fatigue can set in for some viewers, claiming things are being drawn out (and sometimes they were) while really it's an anxious anticipation to see the next milestone from the comics be realized in live-action. While a huge portion of The Walking Dead's audience is well-aware of who the Whisperers are (courtesy of reading the comics or reading the Internet which reads the comics), showrunner Angela Kang has to maintain a balance of patience in revealing the new group and managing the quick-gratification expectations. In the back half of the ninth season, through the first two episodes, Kang flexes a bit on her ability to balance those things. The Whisperer villain mystery comes naturally; Who is this group? What do they want? Why is this little girl that Daryl has hostage the way she is? Many of those answers are available to the audience from the comics, so Kang goes in another direction for a deeper look which wasn't previously provided. For the sake of preserving spoilers, the details of Kang's big reveals and deviations in the next pair of Walking Dead episodes won't be detailed here. The important thing to know is that she elected to explore characters like Alpha (Samantha Morton) and Lydia (Cassady McClincy) in very welcome sequences which toe a line of being reminiscent of the show's early days but feel like completely fresh material. As a fan with knowledge of what's next, the mystery may present instances pacing fatigue similar to the back half of Season Six. In the run from early 2017, every Walking Dead fan knew Negan was coming to the series and also knew what would happen when he arrived. Still, showrunner-at-the-time Scott Gimple elected to fill the season's back half with misdirections as a means to preserve the debut for the Season Six finale. Season Nine certainly seems to have learned from the show's past. There is no stalling. There is no dull side story filling screen time. The pedal is down on an interesting, mysterious, and scary new threat. The Walking Dead seems to have evolved beyond the days of "major" moments being stored away for season finales or premieres. The Mid-Season premiere doesn't come out of the gate with any explosive beats or world-changing events. It simply uses the characters remaining on the show to continue an expansive story, which is a welcome change of pace. It is also quite a bit different from its successor in the form of Episode 9x10, which is a trend Kang and company are going to pursue Season Nine's final half. The diversity of tone in each episode will help the show tackle the challenge of its audience having a wealth of knowledge beyond what the characters they're observing possess. The Walking Dead continues cruising through an impressive season on the heels of losing its lead actor Andrew Lincoln and fan-favorite Lauren Cohan just a few episodes ago... That includes learning more about Alpha and her second-in-command, Beta, played by Ryan Hurst and seen in the Season 9B trailer above. “Part of the story will reveal — pretty early on in the back half of the season — the way that Alpha thinks and the way that she moves about the world,” Kang said “To put on the skin of a dead person and walk around in the world and walk around amidst walkers, that really takes a certain kind of person.” Kang added that while the Whisperers might technically still be living humans, they’ve clearly lost some of their humanity in an attempt to survive. “It really takes a pretty brutal philosophy to believe that it’s not even worth trying to be something that approximates human in the way that we think of it,” she said. The Whisperers’ way of thinking is in direct conflict with the world the survivors are trying to build right now. While the survivors want something as close to civilization as possible, “this group just doesn’t even think any of that is worth preserving,” Kang said. “It’s something that’s really dangerous for our people to grapple with.” Furthermore, don’t expect any communication between the two groups to be reminiscent of anything from seasons’ past. “They’re not a group that can be reasoned with in some of the same ways that other villains have been that they’ve encountered in the past,” Kang said. Here’s what we do know: Things are about to get very brutal for the survivors now that the Whisperers have arrived. If the television series adapts one of the comics’ storylines, it’s possible that several characters’ heads (not necessarily the same ones as on the pages) could end up on spikes soon. "Well, the second half of season 9, we really dive deeper into the story of the Whisperers," Kang said. "At the end of the first half, obviously, we get this reveal that these zombies are not evolving, that they are some sort of strange human threat. The British actor, who played Rick Grimes in the hit AMC show, will reprise the role in three series that look set to explore the “wider world.” Speaking on the Talking Dead fan show, Lincoln said Rick’s return is ‘not the beginning of the end’ but ‘the end of the beginning.’ “I like the idea that we get to tell a bigger story, maybe with a sort of wider vista,” Lincoln said. “And I’ve always been interested in what’s going on out there, you know, whether or not there is contact with the wider world. I want to know the meta of it all. And I suppose to be able to kind of touch upon that in a contained story for me is a very exciting proposition.” Although specific details of the films are yet to emerge, Lincoln previously likened it to Clint Eastwood’s epic Unforgiven and explained that it could see Rick being placed in an entirely new environment. “I liked that as a starting point, and I thought, well, this is interesting if you’ve got an audience that knows this character, and you find him in a new place, in a new whatever that may look like, and he’s not the same guy, but you know what’s inside of him. I thought that that’s quite an interesting starting point.” Lincoln told EW. Having been entirely absent from The Walking Dead's ninth season, Amelio will reprise his role as Dwight on Fear the Walking Dead, ComicBook.com has learned from multiple sources involved with the series. The move follows the crossover lead previously carried out by Morgan Jones actor Lennie James. James joined Fear the Walking Dead in its fourth season and has since become the show's lead actor. With Amelio, James, Jenna Elfman, Garret Dillahunt, and Maggie Grace all having joined Fear the Walking Dead within the past two years, the show continues to transition away from its original cast and into something new. Original cast members Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, and Danay Garcia remain on Fear the Walking Dead to begin Season Five. Dwight was last seen on The Walking Dead in its Season Eight finale when Daryl Dixon exiled him from Alexandria and told him never to return. It appears Dwight is doing just that, allowing Amelio to head to his home state of Texas for production on the sibling series which is set years prior to The Walking Dead's current Whisperer story in Season Nine. Speaking to members of the press at San Diego Comic-Con in 2018, the Dead universe's chief content officer Scott Gimple was quick to not rule out any possible crossovers in the future despite The Walking Dead seeing a massive time jump. “It does not [rule out more crossovers],” Gimple said. “That’s about all I got to say. It does not but I wouldn’t expect it all the time. Things could happen. You never know who might pop up on Fear the Walking Dead. That includes The Walking Dead and potentially people in the past from Fear the Walking Dead.” At the time, the plan to have Amelio and his Dwight character join Fear the Walking Dead in its fifth season was already in motion. The Walking Dead returns for the back half of its ninth season on February 10, 2019 at 9 pm ET. 'The Walking Dead' Creator Comments On Current Timeline In issue #187 of The Walking Dead comic's back pages, Kirkman was asked by a reader how much time has passed in the apocalypse. As is standard for the zombie drama's writer, Kirkman steered clear of pinning down a definitive answer, but gave a bit of info for readers to chew on. "The comic is more than four years since #1, though closer to Year Five," The Walking Dead editor Sean Mackiewicz said. "If we're not there already. A lot of time's passed recently with every trip to the Commonwealth." FTWD is a mess, now. All these new characters would still have made great additions to the show, if they had stuck to the original storyline.
