I think the show needs to have about 4-5 straight episodes with just major action and it could get some ratings back, but right now it just seems like TWD doesn't know what it is anymore. - MrNoluv Are people looking forward to the episodes of Season 9 more than any other season? In this one I will be doing my review for the pilot episode or the series premiere of Whiskey Cavalier. This is of course, the series that Lauren Cohan left the walking dead for. We all miss seeing her as Maggie and I just had to check out her new show to see why she decided to go with it over The Walking Dead. All in all, I did enjoy this premire episode. It was fun to get to see her and also Tyler James Williams (who played Noah in the walking dead) working together with Scott Foley (who is also funny and very likeable). Description: Whiskey Cavalier follows the "adventures of FBI agent Will Chase (codename: Whiskey Cavalier) who, following an emotional break-up, is assigned to work with CIA operative Francesca 'Frankie' Trowbridge (codename: Fiery Tribune). Together, they lead an inter-agency team of spies who periodically save the world (and each other) while navigating the rocky roads of friendship, romance and office politics."[2] As a die hard walking dead fan, I really hope the series doesn't get renewed for a second season. lol, not because I didn't enjoy it. In this one we will be doing our review for the walking dead season 9 Episode 11 'Bounty'. Bounty In this week's episode of the walking dead season 9 we get to see the face off between Daryl and Alpha, as well as Lydia and Henry attempt to run from Alpha. We also get to see a nice flashback which includes Tom Payne as Jesus along with Tara. The Kingdom goes on a fun mission to find a projector bulb that they can use to play a movie at the fair. Eventually we see Enid sort of talk Henry and Lydia out of it and Lydia is returned to Alpha. Alden and Luke are returned to the hilltop. Henry can't live with it and ends up leaving the hilltop in search of Lydia and the whisperers. From the trailers it looks like we are going to get ot see Beta next week! YES! Finally, Beta arrives! And they were all best friends. Everyone’s kind of looking at me like, ‘Who’s this new guy? This is our show.’” “They’d been together for a year, rehearsing and doing a press junket around the world. It was being amped up as a thing. It was [original showrunner] Frank Darabont, it was AMC, [executive producer] Gale Anne Hurd, heavy hitters. And so we’re doing this scene and I gotta come in and get in the main guy’s face and it’s a whole thing and everyone’s protective of the main guy, they’re all his buddy,” Reedus said. “I assumed I’d be there a couple episodes, maybe an episode or two,” Reedus admitted, explaining he molded his performance around his feelings as an outsider. “Came in and I say these lines, and feeling a little bit nervous about it, and I turn around, and the whole cast — there’s 15 people looking at me like, ‘What are you gonna do?’ Judging me. And I immediately got a little chip on my shoulder and felt like, ‘Oh my God, they hate me,’” Reedus said. “And I started talking out of the side of my eyes. I didn’t really connect, like, ‘You hate me? I hate you too.’ And that’s how I found that character, I started doing that. And the character slowly went from this sort of side-eyed thing to slowly, when he means something now, talks to you in your face, you can believe what he’s saying to you. He wears his heart on his sleeve, he’s not a bullsh-tter.” Reedus took Daryl from “a straight-up liar, thief,” to a trusted protector of the group and Rick’s eventual right-hand man after getting out from under Merle’s abusive influence. “I mean, the whole thing about the two brothers on that show, they were there to rob that group. Not to join the group, they were there, ‘When they go to sleep, we’re gonna rob this place,’” Reedus continued of the backstory he helped create. “And it slowly became sort of naturally the progression of this guy standing on his own two feet, and he wouldn’t have been that guy if this apocalypse didn’t happen. He’d have been his brother.” Merle shaped Daryl in more ways than one: Daryl was tailor-made for Reedus, who boarded the series late after its roles — including Merle — had already been cast. “I was like, ‘Just get me in the room. I’ll go in and do a guest spot,’” Reedus recounted to GQ in 2014. Reedus went in twice, reading Merle’s lines both times, and was spun off into his own role after impressing then-showrunner Darabont. via IFTTT The Walking Dead Season 9 - Carl Apologizes for His Performance! https://ift.tt/2GFQhfU Former ‘The Walking Dead’ Star Chandler Riggs: “I Sucked When It Mattered” been rewatching twd over the last couple of months and i agree lol. i think i was decent for the first few years, but i definitely got lazy when i should've utilized the writers giving me more material. however, for seasons 4-7 (and some of 8) i was putting the majority of my effort into school. not trying to toot my own horn here but i took like 10 ap classes throughout high school (for some dumbass reason, i guess i just wanted to hate myself even more) and put a lot more effort into my education than into my craft. this is super evident as i'm watching my earlier lackluster performances. but in season 8, specifically in my last few episodes, is where i feel like i had my most impactful work. i wasn't focused on school since i had decided to move out to LA, and i wanted to leave a strong legacy for carl on the show. plus going forward, i wanted to spend way more time expanding my abilities as an actor, and make sure i live up to the standard that i set for myself - and so far, i have. these last few months have been extremely productive for my craft, and i feel my performances have become so much more powerful and include an amazing amount of depth. i'm super proud of them and really can't wait to show you guys. in hindsight and in the best interest of the show, i do feel like if i didn't get killed off, things would not have gotten better on my end and twd might've been better off recasting carl. don't get me wrong i loved everything about playing carl and it would've been really awesome to play out all of those storylines, but i would have been juggling college and the show, and my performances would suffer because of it as shown when i was in high school. wow this got super long winded sorry lol but TLDR: yeah i sucked when it mattered but i'm a good actor now i promise please someone hire me I really really think Carl was kind of the last straw for most fans!! I mean Rick & Maggie left for personal reasons .. but now that we fans know that Gimple practically fired Carl’s actor after having him sign on for another 3 years... just a TERRIBLE decision. And now. It’s not even close to the same show with the same feel!!! SAD 😞 SVU has 20 years. "It's kind of just amazing that we're going into the 10th season," Kang told INSIDER. "It's certainly a milestone that most people never get to cross and we're so grateful to the fans around the world that have been on that journey with us." As noted in the article by Kirsten Acuna, The Walking Dead is one of very few shows currently airing to have a tenth season or more. The list includes Will & Grace, Modern Family, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Big Bang Theory (which is retiring soon), Supernatural, Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, NCIS, and Law & Order: SVU. Such a milestone is fueled by the early years of The Walking Dead making it one of the most in-demand shows on cable. With Season Nine, Kang is aiming to keep the ship headed in the right direction to ensure fans stick around for the sure-to-be expansive future. "I'm approaching it as I've got to make a great 10th season," Kang explained. "I can't assume anything. It's a thing that writers certainly talk about a lot. In this one we will be doing our review for the walking dead season 9 Episode 10 'Omega'. Omega - Ω refers to the multiplicity (number of microstates) in a system. This week's episode of the walking dead was focused around the backstory of Lydia and Alpha. With it ending with Alpha confronting the Hilltop to demand they return her daughter to her. This one is all about setup for me. It puts Daryl and our survivors in a position where they don't want to return Lydia to Alpha after what she did to her prior. Tara wants to go forward with the trade but Daryl doesn't want to after finding out how Alpha has treated Lydia thus far. Alpha will want to trade both Luke and Alden for Lydia. Will Daryl make the trade? What will Henry do if he does? There were also some fun parallels drawn between Carol and Alpha. Magna's group also had some good stuff in this episode and they are starting to grow on me. I am going to give the walking dead season 9 episode 10 Omega a 7.8 out of 10. I enjoyed the psychology in this episode and LOVED the ending with Alpha confronting the Hilltop to Demand they return Lydia to her. That wasn't just any clearing. Negan took off Rick's shirt in the clearing where he brutally bashed in Abraham and Glenn's heads. "It's funny because I've talked to a lot of people and about half the people that I've talked to didn't catch that," he said of Negan returning to that same plot of land. "It's something that I think is critical for Negan's story because he doesn't know who he is." Nicotero also pointed out that Negan was kneeling, just as he made Rick's people do when he first met them. If Negan's new shirt made you do a double take, there's a reason why. That was one of Rick's shirts! There's a reason the Whisperers didn't just go after everyone at the cemetery. The Whisperers have a great way to blend in with zombie hordes, but there's one big downside: It puts them at a disadvantage when trying to fight another group while also trying to stay undercover. "If they start acting like humans, they will be found out," Nicotero said of the Whisperers making any sudden movements around the real undead. "That's one of the reasons why the scene in the cemetery in the beginning was challenging. If the Whisperers execute any big moves that would alert the other walkers around them that they are human and they're blowing their cover," he continued. "So we had to be really cautious about how they moved and how quickly they moved. I didn't want it to look like there was a million stunt people running at our characters all the time." In case you were wondering, that really was Tom Payne slung over a horse as he was carried back to the Hilltop. It looked like Negan left Alexandria in the dead of night, but he actually escaped at dawn. It seemed a little silly that Negan left his jail cell while it was still dark out, but waited until broad daylight to escape. "Maybe that's a little too confusing. Part of it is he had escaped probably closer to dawn," said Kang, explaining that Negan wasn't out just wandering around Alexandria. "The daylight may have not totally worked for us. They actually did shoot it first thing in the morning, at first light, when he's escaping, but it gets bright very quickly." When Negan leaves his jail cell, it's supposed to have a "Halloween" feeling to it. "One of the things I loved about that sequence is you're not sure what he's planning on doing," Nicotero said of when Negan first escapes his cell and wanders around Alexandria to Michonne's home. "It's that low angle shot, again, that Michael Meyers shot of him standing in front of the brownstone and you're like, 'What is he going to do? Holy sh--, what's happening?'" Judith tells Negan if she ever sees him again, she'll shoot him. It reminds us of another conversation between Daryl and Dwight. He told Dwight if he ever saw his face again he would kill him. ""You go, and you keep going," Daryl tells Dwight. "Don't you ever come back here again. If I ever see your face around here again, I'll kill you. You go out there and you make it right." It looks like Dwight listened to Daryl's advice because he winds up on "Fear the Walking Dead" later this year. This shot of Michonne on the bridge reminded us of when Michonne first joined the show back on season three. Seeing two walkers in front of Michonne gave us a flashback to when she used to carry around two of the undead on chains to protect her (and sometimes Angela) as she walked among the dead. The episode ends with a woman pointing a double barrel shotgun at Alden and Luke. That pose was straight out of the comics. Comic fans recognized this exact moment from issue No. 132. Alpha, the leader of the Whisperers, approaches Luke and Alden The capture of the duo is similar to one that happens in the comics. In the books, it's two different characters Alpha takes. In this one we will be doing our non-spoiler review or reaction after just seeing the walking dead mid-season premiere. Sorry for the wait guys, I finally got a chance to watch the mid-season premeire through that was released via AMC premiere this year. If you haven't seen it yet, don't worry this video does not contain any major spoilers for the episode. You can of course, watch the episode at its regular air time, this Sunday night at 9:00PM as per usualy, February 10th, 2019. Man, another year, another new half of the walking dead. This epsiode for me was a lot like a regular episode for the walking dead. There were a couple of awesome parts when our survivors faced off against the whisperers and a few scenes that were reminiscent of the past. Some really well placed symbolic things for Negan and some new fun stuff at the hilltop. I will say that I did thoroughly enjoy this mid-season premiere, but it did make me very sad at times, seeing how much this series has changed so drastically in such a short period of time. It is hard to believe that just 1 year ago we were seeing All out War and now the Sanctuary is completely abandoned. I am going to give this mid-season premiere an 8 out of 10. Gurira's contract is scheduled to have run its course with Season Nine's finale. While the AMCseries did not take steps in terms of the show's narrative toward Gurira not returning to her role as Michonne with the coming episodes, a deal has not been reached to bring her back for the recently announced 10th season. ComicBook.com had previously reported on After the Dead that Gurira's contract expired with Season Nine, but a new report details question marks around her future. When asked by ComicBook.com if Gurira shared her co-star (and new number one of the call sheet) Norman Reedus' outlook on wanting to be with The Walking Dead until its final episode, the actress chose to reserve her comment. "Danai Gurira, meanwhile, was in prolonged negotiations with AMC that were further complicated by her status as a breakout actress with hits under her belt including Black Panther," THR reports. "It's unclear if she has signed a new deal to return. AMC did not immediately respond to The Hollywood Reporter's request for comment about Gurira's status for Season 10." "I'll reserve my thoughts on that for now," Gurira said in September. "But of course, all things ultimately wound up. Of course it'll be really hard. This will be like, the day it happens, whenever it is for me, this is family. I've grown as a human being, as a professional. I've got family and friends here that I will have for the rest of my life -- which is a beautiful thing." Of course, getting Gurira to return to The Walking Dead in Season 10 might be more difficult that it sounds. The actress has a rising price tag as she finds success and popularity in Marvel films, which included Avengers: Infinity War and an expected appearance in Avengers: Endgame. The Walking Dead, however, is showing no signs of slowing down despite major exits such as Andrew Lincoln in the current season. Given the investment in Rick and Michonne's relationship, it seems quite important for the series to keep Gurira around in order to fulfill a reunion between two fan-favorite characters somewhere down the line. Steven Yeun Is Reuniting With ‘The Walking Dead’ Creator Robert Kirkman http://bit.ly/2D6T7ql After seven seasons on The Walking Dead, Steven Yeun’s character, Glenn Rhee, was killed off the series in the same fashion as his comic-book counterpart. It was a death that Yeun both thought went too far and a death that he was very excited about. It’s been two-and-a-half years since Glenn’s death on The Walking Dead, and now Steven Yeun is getting back in business with its creator, Robert Kirkman. Yeun will provide voice for the lead character in the animated Invincible, the first series to come out of Kirkman’s production deal with Amazon. It’s based on Kirkman’s comic of the same name, which ran for 144 episodes, beginning in 2003, the same year that Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic began printing issues. Yeun will play Mark Grayson, “a normal teenager except for the fact that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his 17th birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and enters into his father’s tutelage. The series is described as suspenseful, action-filled, and emotion-packed, yet builds upon poignant and heartwarming moments of love, friendship, and humanity.” Yeun will join an all-star roster of talent that will also include the voices of Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, and Mae Whitman, among others. What’s also interesting is that while Seth Rogen is doing voice-work for the Amazon animated series, he is also writing and directing a feature film based on the same Kirkman property along with his partner Evan Goldberg. The comic’s run of 144 issues should provide plenty of material for both the animated series and the feature film. The source material is both violent and funny, and it takes destructive aim at a number of superhero tropes. The comic has a sizable following that also happens to include two high-profile devotees: Carl and Enid from The Walking Dead.
