Now, after a great third season, you have 2 characters left on FTWD!!! What the heck are they doing?! I’ve never been a huge Madison fan- I loved Nick as the lead. Made a time investment and now...meh! They’ve killed off the original cast. Dumb. Just craziness from the showrunners. This show needs some serious direction, as in a road map or something! Jeez! That comment confirmed that the AMC drama will follow the events of creator Robert Kirkman's comic book series in which the narrative jumps forward two years following the end of the all-out war arc between Rick and Negan. While Kang did not address the departure of series lead Lincoln — AMC has yet to comment on the star's pending exit — or just how Cohan's Maggie will be written out after the actress' salary standoff with the cable network, she painted a larger picture of her vision for The Walking Dead. "We're working on a season that has a really fresh look and feel," she said. "We come in on some pretty fun stuff. I'm really focusing a lot on the core character relationships in the show that have kind of been long-lasting, as well as all of our wonderful series regulars." Kang has been with The Walking Dead since season one, episode seven. In taking over for Gimple, she becomes the show's fourth overall showrunner. Frank Darabont launched the series and was replaced by Glen Mazzara, with Gimple ultimately taking over. For his part, Gimple was promoted to serve as chief content officer of all things The Walking Dead for AMC after creator Kirkman moved his overall deal to Amazon Studios. Still, Kang expressed hope that season nine would lean into "great stories" with women on the series. "We're going to see some really great stories with the women in our show, particularly. And I think for people who are really invested in Michonne [Danai Gurira], Maggie or Carol [Melissa McBride], there's such great material for them. For people who are looking for that specifically, they will see some really incredible work from our women," she said. Gimple, too, remained mum on all the changes coming to The Walking Dead and those that have already transpired on Fear (including the controversial decision to kill off Kim Dickens' lead, Madison). But he did indicate a larger desire to tell stories with a beginning, middle and end for the show's central characters. "Television is a different media than comics, even just from a practical point of view. There are main characters in the book that drift away for 17 issues. And that's weird in television. But that's something you can do. And also, I think if there's a character there, they need an alpha and an omega. They need a beginning, middle and end," he said. "Sometimes in the book, there are long stretches where characters don't have much to do or you don't see them. If there's a human being on your show, you need a beginning, middle and end. And you can find inspiration from the books. That's the No. 1 thing, I think." Hey Trev, just a theory, and I haven't put a ton of thought into this yet, so be open minded. What if the recent Rick death news is a hoax in place of Rick's "death fakeout" in the comics during All Out War? I know most evidence points to Rick's departure from the show. As the scene changes. Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) says: “I just wanted to be left alone.” The picture shifts to a group of Walkers who turn around to look at the camera. They seem to take on a ghostly quality as it looks like one character is hallucinating. “You caught me doing a bit of light housekeeping,” Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) tells a shocked John as the teaser promo moves on. Later on, Victor and John look worried as they’re warned that an impending storm is heading their way. The trailer gets more sinister as a Walker impaled on what appears to be a flagpole tries to attack a young girl. As the teaser preview builds to a climax, a man is heard in voiceover: “You don’t know what’s out there.” Viewers are shown a montage of shots as the Walkers bay for human flesh, bringing the trailer to a close. Well it is a shocker killing off all the main characters ...maybe that was the point ? Hope they have a plan... - Tainted Meat Trev do you think Rick could be leaving to go to Fear? Should people even watch those 3 seasons? The writers were right you don't need to watch the last 3 seasons to understand FTWD. Because it's an entirely new show and the characters are acting like completely different people. It's so sad what's happened to this show. - Blue Bug I'm done with TWD AND FWD IT WAS WAY TOO EARLY TO KILL MADISON. I'M NOT SAYING SHE CAN'T DIE. BUT IT WAS WAY TOO EARLY TO KILL MADISON!!!!. SHE SHOULD'VE AT LEAST MADE IT TO SEASON 5 OR SEASON 6. - Eric Watkins On Talking Dead they also showed a huuuge easter egg. One of those tapes is labeled Abe & Doctor!!! - Enrique Huertas Wow i haven't seen this show sense season 2 and im finding out some of the best characters are already killed off , guess there is no point to catch up - InnovationYGO this pisses me off that Kim dickens still wanted to act on the show, why did they kill her off? Alright what's going on guys it's Trev back again here to bring you another video, in this one I am going to be giving my updated thoughts on whether or not killing off Carl Grimes was the biggest mistake the walking dead has ever made. did you finally get why carls death was a stupid act???? we told to you.... this time actors are angry and sad... we told to you amc just think a bout money....if all this characters leave the show... amc lead twd with a Zombie ... !!!!!! how they can do it that with amazing twd! - poom am For the show to last on longer - worse that they killed off carl than Rick is leaving. Killing off Carl was the worst decision . You cant come back from that. And yes im sure it played a huge part in ALs decision to leave. And when he goes......its over - Van Lightning YES i believe this is the exact reason Lincoln has quit the show, Ricks motivation to keep going was always to keep Carl alive & now with his son gone he just feels like he has no reason to continue on anymore. I also believe that killing off Carl wasn't a creative decision like Gimple tried to make out & was merely a pay raise dispute since Chandler was turning 18. - vicky howells I believe he feels like Rick's journey is wrapping up in the aftermath of it. He said in a recent interview that Carl's death felt like "the end of a book, not a chapter, that started back at the hospital." He also said he had a hard time figuring out how to portray Rick after Carl died since such a giant part of his motivation was axed. So... I mean... I think it's stupid to act like Carl's death wasn't at least a factor. AMC/the writers made a poor decision (which I believe was the result of behind the scenes drama) and now they're paying for it. That's it, really. - briatthedisco Everyone seems to be forgetting the fact that Carl couldn't lead the walking dead. Seen it a lot, with people saying they'd still watch if AL left if Carl took lead, but the Riggs is not a strong enough actor to lead one of biggest tv shows. In it, Lincoln is covered in blood, and ready to shoot the unforgettable scene in which he calls Daryl Dixon a "brother." In the post, Satrazemis points out how much he, the show, and the fans will miss Lincoln but collectively have a lot to look forward to. Removed After!
