Next month is usually when the filming for the new season starts. If AMC is playing hardball with her, what message does that send to the rest of the cast who are not "A Lists "? When it is time for their contracts to be renewed, will they start looking at other series first and negotiate with AMC second knowing AMC will take the hardline. You could end up with mostly part timers on your cast. Given the size of the cast, it could work. But working around everybody's second projects could be problematic. I hope Lauren stays on because Maggie is important to the Whisper story arc. The one thing that can kill a series is when the audience is not emotionally vested in the characters.
