This theory came up in a conversation with some other profs teaching a TWD class. That could explain why Gabriel is so all-fired determined to crawl out of the church and find out whether it's true that the Terminus people ate Bob's leg. There was also a white Bible with the name "Mary B" that really shook him up at the barbecue site. If there's anything to this, there's major culpability and major guilt on Gabriel's part.
