At the time, he spoke about his build to the publication and joked that he ‘wasn’t big enough’ for the role. He said: ‘Lobo would be very cool. I don’t think that I’m as big as Lobo is, but if you could transplant Mickey Rourke’s body on my head, that would be just great.’ However, despite it being almost a decade since his confession, it appears the star is still hopeful that he could one day get his dream role. While his Walking Dead co-star Norman Reedus instantly chose Ghost Rider and Silver Surfer as the character’s he’d like to play, the Negan actor appeared to be less sure and mulled over the Fantastic Four.
