via IFTTT The Walking Dead Season 9 - A Second Time Skip? If that 5-6 year second time jump between episodes 5 & 6 does happen that is how they are going to deal with Rick & Maggie’s leave. They will set it up where both characters could return either later in the second half or in season 10. I don’t think Rick or Maggie is getting killed off. That is also why we haven’t heard of any Whisperer scenes of characters appearing yet because they are waiting for that second time jump & then after that we will start getting hints of the Whisperers & I bet in the season finale they will finally be introduced to set them up for season 10. - Donnie Blair Spoiling Dead claimed season 9 will have a second time skip that’s 6 years and Ricks death isn’t confirmed.
